The image is flipped left-right compared to the original image. A0000.jpg - The image is first trimmed in ImageJ. Then the image is processed in Adobe Lightroom to enhance the contrast via a procedure equivalent to histogram equalization. A0000.tif - The image is converted to 8-bit in ImageJ and segmented using the IJ_IsoData thresholding method. The value 0 (shown as black) in segmented image is the ferrofluid, and the value 255 (white) is either oil or the solid (outside of the channel).
